Biography
I completed my Ph.D. in May 2019 in English with a certificate in Medieval Studies from The Graduate Center, CUNY. My research is largely intersectional, in particular considering how literature is influenced by its historical moment and history is influenced by literature, especially with respect to women's lives. I am currently teaching in the Great Works Program at Baruch College, where we look at world literature from the beginnings to 1650, and 1650 to now, often in its historical context. In my courses, my students and I try to emphasize voices that we do not often hear from in the typical canon. I am excited to join the team at World History Encyclopedia and to share what I have learned/am learning about some of these figures that weren't traditionally taught when I was in school.
