Biography
João Paulo Simões Valério is a researcher at the Centre for History at the School of Arts and Humanities in Lisbon. His research interests centre on Roman oratory and politics, as well as Classical reception studies. His publications include “The Romanitas of Mark Antony’s Eastern Coins”, Greek Art in Motion: Studies in honour of Sir John Boardman on the occasion of his 90th Birthday (Archaeopress, 2019) and “Ciceronian Portraits in Oliveira Martins and António Roma Torres”, Images, Perceptions and Productions in and of Antiquity (Cambridge Scholars, 2023).
