Stefano Freyr Castiglione

Biography

I was born in Agrigento, Sicily, a city rich in historical monuments, the most important of which are the Greek temples. Having grown up there, I have always had a passion for ancient history and archaeology, having also studied Latin and Greek in high school. In college, I never studied archaeology - I chose languages and later linguistics - but I have always been interested in the field. I often read articles and watch documentaries on archaeology (particularly that of ancient Sicily) and, when I can, I like to visit archaeological sites throughout Italy and the world.
