The seven wonders of the ancient world were:

The Great Pyramid of Giza
The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
The Statue of Zeus at Olympia
The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus
The Colossus of Rhodes
The Lighthouse of Alexandria.

These seven ancient wonders of the world were known in Greek as Themata or ‘things to be seen’ which is now referred to as ‘must see’ sites. These sites were written about in antiquity by many writers, although only one of these wonders still remains.
