Ancient petroglyphs on Adamgarh hills consist of petroglyphs (rock paintings); it is a site of National importance it is two kilometres away from the main city Hoshangabad.The Adamgarh Hills are around 2 kms away from Hoshangabad. The remains of stone civilization in the form of cave paintings can be seen in the rock shelters of Adamgarh Hills. It is one of the earliest known similar sites of India under control of Archaeological Survey of India(ASI) situated around 40 kms away from the world famous rock shelters of Bhimbetka.
